Abstract

Herdiman (164110025) Effect of Kascing Fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 on Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Production. The research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City for 3 months, from November 2020 to January 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of giving vermicompost and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer to the production of cucumber plants. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor was the application of Kascing Fertilizer (Factor K) which consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely: 0, 450, 900, 1,350 g/plot and the second factor was fertilizer application. NPK 16:16:16 (Factor N) which consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 3.75, 7.5, 11.25 g/plant. Parameters observed were age of flowering, number of flowers to pistil, age of harvest, number of fruit per plot, weight of fruit per plot, weight of fruit per fruit and number of remaining fruit per plant. The data were statistically analyzed and continued with BNJ at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Kascing fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 significantly affected the parameters of the number of flowers to pistils, the number of fruits per plot, fruit weight per plot and fruit weight per fruit. With the best treatment, there was Kascing fertilizer at a dose of 1.350 g/plot and NPK 16:16:16 at a dose of 11.25 g/plant. The main effect of Kascing fertilizer was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was 1.350 g/plot. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant on all parameters, the best treatment was 11.25 g/plant.
