Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and results of product validation in the form of comic math learning media using guided discovery learning models on social arithmetic material for class VII SMP Negeri 2 Tapung Hulu. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Tapung Hulu which is located at Petapahan village, Tapung sub-district, Kampar district, on 14 October 2020 to 14 June 2021. The type of this research is development research (R&D). The development model used is a modification of (R&D) which consists of the following stages: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and final product. The data collection technique was non-test consisting of interviews and research instruments using a validation sheet filled out by the validator. The analytical technique used is descriptive analysis which describes the validity of the developed comic math learning media. The results of the validation analysis of comic math learning media from all validators with an average percentage of 85.29% with very valid categories. So this research shows that comic math learning media has been produced using the development (R&D) model and the final product of comic math learning media is good and valid.
