Abstract
The purpose of this study was determine the effect of acquisition decisions and stock returns on profitability in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Acquisiton decisions are calculated by the momentum return seen from the stock price of each company, and profitability is calculated using the Return On Assets (ROA). The data in this study amounted to 7 manufacturing companies the made acquisitions in the 2015-2019 period. This study uses the F test (simultaneous) and T test (partial) to answer the existing hypothesis. The results of this study indicate the acquisition decisions and stock returns together have a significant effect on probability, shile partially acquisition decisions do not have a significant effect on probability, and stock returns have a significant effect on probability in manufacturing companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange.
