Abstract

ABSTRACT The number of migrant cultures arrival resulting the local culture slowly displaced. One way to preserve local culture is to set up the cultural elements in education. Therefore, this research aims to produce mathematic learning tools based on Siak Malay folklore with the proper Realistic Math Approach (PMR). This research is a developmental study using Sugiyono modification with the following stages: (1) data collection, (2) product designing, (3) design validation, (4) Design revision, (5) Product testing, (6) product revision, (7) Final Product. The learning tools developed is lesson plan and student worksheet. The data collection in this research is learning tools validation sheet and questionnaire. Based on the research result obtains lesson plan validation result 73,10% with the validation criteria is quite valid and lesson plan practicability is 84,67% with the practicability criteria is very practice. Meanwhile student worksheet validation is 81,08% with quite valid criteria and student worksheet practicability is 86,15% with quite practice criteria as well as the mean of learning implementation is 88,54% with very practice criteria. Based the research result obtains the conclusion that the development of Mathematics Learning Tools with Realistic Mathematical Approach (PMR) Based on Malay Siak Lore is eligibility proved.
