Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP OF RELIGIUSITY WITH PROSOCIAL BEHAVIOR IN MTSN 1 INHIL STUDENTS OCI APRILIA 178110068 FAKULTAS PSIKOLOGI UNIVERSITAS ISLAM RIAU ABSTRAK Madrasahs are formal schools that are equivalent to other public schools, schools that emphasize identity or religiosity more than other schools. As time goes by, teenagers' concern for individuals around the environment decreases. Someone who has a high attitude of religiosity tends to carry out social behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and prosocial behavior in students of MtsN 1 Inhil. The research method used in this research is correlational quantitative method. The variables contained in this study are religiosity as the independent variable and prosocial behavior as the dependent variable. This research was conducted on students of MtsN 1 Inhil with a sample of 80 students who were taken using random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used two Likert model psychological scales, namely the religiosity scale with 34 items and the prosocial behavior scale with 33 items. The data were analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation where the results were using a correlation coefficient value of 0.496 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.005. From these results, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between religiosity and prosocial behavior in MtsN 1 Inhil students. This means that the higher the religiosity of the students, the higher the prosocial behavior of the students, and vice versa the lower the religiosity of the students, the lower the level of prosocial behavior in the students of MtsN 1 inhil.
