Abstract

The increase in water production is a problem that often occurs in oil production wells. This is because the well has been producing for a long time or there is damage to the production wells. Water shut off (WSO) is a work over that aims to minimize the amount of water produced from a production well by closing the zone that is considered no longer productive (water zone). The X and Y wells have high water cut values, so the Water Shut Off application needs to be done using a squeeze of perforation and the addition of the RBP packer. Before the Water Shut Off application is carried out, the things that must be calculated are the fluid flow rate which is still quite high and the remaining reserves are still potential if produced again. After that the application of the Water Shut Off method can be done by squeeze of perforation and the addition of RBP packers in wells X and Y. From the results of the cement slurry design, 45 sacks of cement are needed to make cement slurry and 68 Psi pressure maximum for injecting cement slurry in well X. While Y well requires 55 cement sacks to make cement slurry and 24 Psi maximum pressure to inject cement slurry. From the results of data analysis, WSO work was successfully carried out because it was able to increase oil production from 0 BOPD to 230 BOPD in wells X and 140 BOPD to 333 BOPD for well Y. And reduce water cut by 7% in well X and 50% for well Y.
