Abstract

The construction of the Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road is supported by an overpass bridge which is useful for community pedestrian roads. This infrastructure development was really require a strong and sturdy foundation. This study discussed the bearing capacity analysis and the safety factor of the pile to determine the results of each method which is more effectively used. This study used a dynamic method with the Engineering News Record, Eytelwein and Gates Formula for the 2D finite element method using 2D Plaxis with the axisymmetry model. This method is used to calculate the bearing capacity and safety factor of piles P1-07 and P1-25 and then compared the bearing capacity and safety factors respectively against the PDA Test. The results of this study indicate a comparison of the bearing capacity of the foundation and the safety factor of a single pile on the P1-07 and P1-25 piles. For the bearing capacity of the pile using a dynamic method for the engineering news record method for P1-07 piles of 7482.51 kN, for P1-25 piles of 7476.58 kN, Eytelwein for P1-07 piles of 4875.16 kN, for P1 piles -25 is 4872.98 kN, and the gates formula for P1-07 piles is 4595.08 kN, for P1-25 piles is 4549.35 kN and the 2D finite element method for P1-07 piles is 4899.68 kN, for piles P1-25 of 4867.19 kN shows that the bearing capacity with the gates formula has a value closer to the PDA test results, namely P1-07 pile of 2696.84 kN and P1-25 pile of 2576.26 kN. For the analysis of the safety factor on the P1-07 and P1-25 poles using the Engineering News Record method of 4.06 and 4.10, Eytelwein of 2.65 and 2.67, Formula Gates of 2.49, MEH of 2D of 2, 65 and 2.67, while the PDA test was 1.46 and 1.49. Of the five analysis methods, the calculation of the Gates formula has the closest value to the PDA test both from the results of the foundation bearing capacity and the foundation safety factor.
