Abstract

Analysis of the accuracy of measuring instruments in the petroleum industry is very important to analyze because it will be very important to know the amount of fluid flowing every day (BFPD). The function of the measuring instrument generally can only measure one phase of fluid (single phase) that flows in the production pipe, but on the measurement unit accuflow multiphase flowmeter (MPFM) can measure multiphase fluid flow (gas and liquid). Measurement of gas flow rate on accuflow multiphase flowmeter (MPFM) is carried out using ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM), from the reading of gas flow using ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) the pressure parameters (P) temperature (T) velocity (v) and soundspeed are obtained. In measuring gas flow using ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) the soundspeed parameter acts as a reference whether the ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) functions properly or not, because the soundspeed value is very sensitive to changes in the profile of the gas flow in the pipe. Analysis of the value of soundspeed is only carried out on the gas flow in the gas well and is not carried out on the oil well with the aim that the reading of the ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) is more accurate because there is no liquid contamination which is read by the ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) or called liquid carry over. Gas flow profiles for each different gas well will get different parameters. Research conducted on BP # 13 gas well with dry gas flow and BP # 11 gas well with wet gas flow obtained results for analysis of the parameters that affect the reading of ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) on the rate gas flow and draw conclusions from the results obtained. Based on the results of research parameters that affect the changes in the flow rate of dry gas and wet gas in the gas well candidates tested are the pressure and velocity parameters. The reading of the gas flow rate on the ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) on the tested gas well candidates is said to be accurate with the average difference in measurement of the gas flow rate that is read by the ultrasonic gas flowmeter (UFM) and the manual calculation of no more than 1%, on gas flow wet (BP # 11) has a smaller difference of 0.62% compared to dry gas flow rate (BP # 13) 0.96%.
