Abstract

Good character education in accordance with norms is carried out by instilling good character values. Character problems that are often found at this time start from problems that occur in the classroom. Education in Indonesia seeks to improve and instill character values to the nation's next generation from an early age through class-based KDP programs. This program is expected to be able to overcome and improve character through activities in the classroom starting from the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of class-based KDP programs. This research method uses qualitative research with a naturalistic inquiry approach. This research uses three stages. (1) Observation, (2) Interview, (3) Documentation. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the class-based PPK program at SDN 193 Pekanbaru is seen from its planning, namely designing a learning implementation plan by analyzing character values into KI and KD and integrating character values into learning steps. Judging from the implementation which is quite good with the implementation of classroom management, enriching and balancing class activities and reflecting on learning through feedback. And seen from the evaluation carried out at each event using a character assessment instrument in the form of a spiritual and social attitude journal and reporting the results of the assessment to parents/guardians through report cards
