Abstract

The introduction of seawater poses a huge threat to Indonesia, which is an island nation. Global warming is causing an upsurge in the face of the sea, where these waters are blowing over land. Dumai was one of the industrial cities in the province of riau with geographical conditions in the coastal region. These conditions would have exposed the city of dumai to catastrophic flood rob. Therefore it would take an appropriate step to address the problem, among them through modeling the spatial danger of rob's flood. The purpose of this research was (i) modelling rob's flood danger to identify the affected areas of rob's flood in the city of dumai using gis techniques, (ii) analyzing any land use that rob's flood affected using arcgis application overlay, and (iii) analysis of the social adaptation forms of the rob flood using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study are known (i) sub-district of dumai affected rob's flood either on a classification height of 50 centimeters, 100 centimeters, 200 centimeters. The higher the height classification, the greater the region affected by rob's flood. (ii) among the landforms affected by rob's floods in the town of dumai are the use of settlements, agriculture, fisheries, forests, industry, green spaces, vital objects, and bergamot land. The most extensive types of land affected by rob's flood at each altitude are farmland. (iii) the most dominant form of community adaptation in the dumai city before rob's flood was to create a holding embed on the door with an 84.9% percentage of answers, while the adaptation of rob's flood had the majority of people answering to stay home for an 82.3% percentage, and the form of adaptation that was done during the rob flood was to clean their own house for an average of 90.9%.
