Abstract

Article 173 (1) of the 2009 Traffic and Transportation Law explains that a public transportation company that organizes the transportation of people and/or goods must have a transportation operation permit. The aim is to identify obstacles to the implementation of a technical and economic feasibility study by the Pekanbaru City Transportation, Communication and Information Office. The methods used are descriptive, qualitative and quantitative; A collection of 31 people, including owners, managers, and employees of the Axle 3 truck. Data collection methods included surveys, interviews, and qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of the study concluded that the inspection of the truck feasibility study by the Department of Transportation, Communication and Information of Pekanbaru City was quite good. The examination of the feasibility study of commercial vehicles is believed to have been carried out quite well. It is assessed based on each parameter, such as defining standards, measuring and observing the work performed, interpreting existing results, comparing them with required standards, taking action to eliminate deviations, and comparing final results with inputs. . Obstacles to the inspection of the Pekanbaru Transportation, Communication, and Information Office include: the driver/vehicle owner does not know the criteria for vehicle inspection, and the supervisory function of the Pekanbaru Communication and Information Office is weak. Against trucks that are not tested by the Department of Transportation.
