Abstract

This study aims to observe the Evaluation of the Guidance Program for Street Children by the Pekanbaru City Social Service. Because there are still many street children who still roam the streets. The type of research located at the Pekanbaru City Social Service used is a qualitative research method by means of a survey, namely prioritizing the interview list as a data collection tool and the data collected with this tool is then used as the main raw material to observe the condition of the research location. There are key informants and informants in this study, namely the Head of the Section for Social Rehabilitation and Child Protection, the Head of the Operations and Public Order Division of the Civil Service Police Unit, 3 street children. Three data collection techniques used in determining key informants and informants are interview, observation and documentation techniques. The types and techniques of data collection used consisted of primary data which was collected through a list of interviews and field research results as well as secondary data collected using reports and notes and documents. The theory used in this study is William Dunn's Evaluation theory which contains 6 indicators, namely: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and accuracy. Based on this observation technique, the researchers assessed and concluded that the Evaluation of the Development Program for Street Children by the Pekanbaru City Social Service was in a fairly maximal assessment. Because several coaching programs by the Social Service have been going well.
