Abstract
The importance of using inverted pyramid patterns in a writing standard news makes the writer interested to know and analyze whether news writing in print and electronic media has been implemented the use of inverted pyramid patterns. The problems in this study are (1) How do you use the headline on the Political Republic Media News Portal Viva.co.id? (2) How is the use of news terrace in the Political Republic of Media Viva.co.id News Portal? (3) How is the body of news used in the Republic Viva.co.id News Portal Media Politics? (4) How is the use of news tails on the Republic of the Political Media Portal News Viva.co.id ?. This research aims to describe, analyze, interpret, and conclude usage writing the headline on the Political Media Rubric News Portal Viva.co.id. Results of this research is there are still errors in the use of pyramid patterns upside down on the political column news portal viva.co.id. In the headline section only found four news that are correct in the use of the pyramid pattern The reverse part of the headline is correct according to theory and there are also some whose writing is still not said to be concise, concise, precise and easy understandable. Whereas in the terrace of the news there are five stories in number he said more than 45 words. In the body of the news found several news on the research is not fulfilled 5W + 1H elements. In the use of pyramid patterns upside down on the tail section of the news has been fulfilled throughout the entire article be researcher data. From the overall results studied about the use of patterns the inverted pyramid on the political news portal viva.co.id media column can be concluded that the news portal still has errors in using patterns the inverted pyramid on the news.
