Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of News Value in Online Media Goriau.Com in 2018". The problem discussed in this research is how is the news value in Goriau.Com online media in 2018?. This study aims to describe, analyze, interpret and conclude the news value of the online media GoRiau.Com which was published in 2018. The theory used in this study is the theory of Onong Uchjana Effendy (2008:69) where the news value is determined by 1.) Self interest (self interest); 2.) Money (money); 3.) Sex; 4.) Conflict 5.) Human interest; 6.) Tension (suspension); 7.) Notoriety (Fame); 8.) Beauty (beuty); 9) Age (age); and 10.) Crime (Crime). The sample in this study consisted of 30 news items. The method used in this study is a descriptive method, meaning that all the data that has been obtained are described, analyzed, recapitulated, and interpreted systematically and in detail to describe the data in detail and as they are about news value on the online media goriau.Com in 2018. used in data collection are documentation techniques, hermaneutic techniques. Overall, the news value found in the Goriau.Com Online media in 2018 is more dominant using the news value of Human Interest (human interest) and the value of crime news (Crime). Overall, there is a use of News Value in Online Media Goriau.Com in 2018, namely 44 news values ​​from 30 news data, which consists of: 1.) Self interest as much as 2 data; 2.) Money (money) as much as 7 data; 3.) sex with 1 data, 4.) Conflict (conflict) with 6 data 5.) Human interest with 8 data; 6.) tension (suspension) as much as 1 data; 7) Notoriety (Fame) as much as 5 data; 8). Beauty (Beuty) as much as 1 data, 9) age (age) as much as 4 data; and 10.) crime (Crime) as many as 8 data.
