Abstract

ANALYSIS OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENT LOCATIONS IN BANGKINANG - RANTAU BERANGIN KM 60 - KM 100 KAMPAR DISTRICT Abstract Based on the data from the Kampar Police traffic accident report, on the Bangkinang - Rantau Berangin road section there have been many cases of traffic accidents that have caused material loss, minor injuries, serious injuries, and even death. This study aims to determine the level of traffic accidents in the area. and to obtain the Accident Rate value, namely the Black Spot and Black Site on Jalan Bangkinang - Rantau Berangin. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method based on primary data and secondary data obtained from related agencies, including the Kampar Traffic Police and related to traffic accidents. The results of the analysis show that on the Bangkinang - Rantau Berangin road section, the Accident rate value which is the Black Spot can be identified, namely Pulau Gadang - Tanjung Alai Village with an Accident rate of 2.069 and also Tanjung Alai - Batu Bersurat Village with an Accident rate of 2.069. Meanwhile, the Accident rate for the Black Site includes, among others, the Tanjung alai - Batu besurat road section with an Accident rate of 0.295 followed by Pulau Gadang - Tanjung Alai Village is 0.258 and followed by Kuok Village - Slope Village with an Accident rate of 0.240. From the results of the analysis, the researchers concluded that the area is not a black site prone to traffic accidents because the area's accident rate is not up to 0,3.
