Abstract

This research is based on the assumption that the students participating in volleyball extracurricular activities do not understand the rules of the volleyball game and the level of students' understanding of the rules of the volleyball game is not known. This study aims to determine the level of understanding of volleyball extracurricular students on the rules of volleyball games at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kerinci in the academic year. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research method used is a survey and data collection techniques using a questionnaire (questionnaire). The instruments that have been arranged are consulted with expert lecturers, then tested for validity using the product moment formula and reliability testing using the Cronbach alpha formula. The subjects of this study were 20 students. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis with percentages. The results showed that the level of understanding of the volleyball extracurricular participants on the rules of the volleyball game was in the High category. This is shown in the number of respondents who answered the most in the high category, namely as many as 10 students (50%). Then the number of students who answered in the medium category were 6 students (30%). Furthermore, the number of students who answered in the very high category was 3 students (15%). While the number of students who answered in the very low category was 1 student (5%) and there were no students (0.00%) who answered in the low category.
