Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the Employee Stock Option Plan on company performance. This research was conducted on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and adopted the Employee Stock Option Plan in 2015-2019. This study used 45 data samples from 2015-2019 using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method used is simple regression analysis. After doing the research, it was found that giving the Employee Stock Option Plan had a significant effect on the company's performance. The emergence of ESOP is based on an idea to align the interests of employees (agents) and shareholders (principals), with the aim of reducing conflicts of interest between agents and principals. Because based on the performance of workers increases, the company's performance also increases. So it is concluded that the Employee Stock option plan has a very positive effect on a company's performance.
