Abstract

This study aims to determine the model Problem based learning(PBL) on Learning outcomes of writing text reports on the results of observation of students of class X IPA 2 in SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study (1) was to determine the level of influence of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Learning outcomes of writing text reports on the result of observation, (2) knowing how much influence of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Learning outcomes of writing text reports on the result of obsevation, (3) know the learning outcomes of influence of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) on Learning outcomes of writing text reports on the result of observation to student. This study uses the correlation method and the analysis section uses regression analysis. Data collection techniques used in this study are direct observation techniques, technical questionnaire, test, techniques and documentation techniques. Instrument testing was carried out in class X IPA 2 consisting of 36 respondents. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that : (1) there is a model Problem Based Learning (PBL) influence on learning outcomes in writing text report observations this is evidenced from the acquisition of learning outcomes with the average value obtained by students of learning outcomes of = 51.833 moderate category, (2) the magnitude of the effect of the model Problem Based Learning (PBL) on learning outcomes in writing text reports on observations with proven results on the value of R square = 0.545 which if decimated to be 54.5%, (3) student learning outcomes in writing written text the results of observations increased this can be proven in learning outcomes of = 88.61 or reduced to 88.61 % and has a strong interpretation value. So it can be concluded that the use of models Problem Based Learning (PBL) can improve student learning outcomes in writing report text skills of students’ observation results of class X IPA 2 in SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru.
