Abstract

This research is titled Student Discipline Relationship with Indonesian language learning results Grade VIII students SMP Negeri 20 Batam. The problem of this research is whether there is a student discipline relationship with the result of learning Indonesian students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 20 Batam Year lesson 2019/2020 While the purpose of this research is to describe, analyze, and conclude the relationship of discipline with the result of learning Bahasa Indonesia students grade VIII SMP Negeri 20 Batam Year lesson 2019/2020. The theory used in the study was the theory of Mudasir (2011) and Purwanto (2013). The data research techniques used in this research are using observation, poll and documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach, hypothesis testing obtained a Pearson correlation value of 0.913, where the Pearson correlation value was > 0.005 (0.913 > 0.005), with the interpretation category of the correlation coefficient very strong. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which means there is a significant link between students ' discipline and learning outcomes. This indicates that there is a relationship between student discipline and Indonesian language learning outcomes of grade VIII students SMP Negeri 20 Batam.
