Abstract
The way that can improve learning in schools is with the existence of learning media. This is because the interaction between teachers and students becomes more enthusiastic and the delivery of material is easier to understand. The products in this research are Labyrinth Math Story media and guidebooks. The research objectives: 1) produce valid learning media, 2) explain how to use the media and guides in the guidebook, 3) improve students' understanding with the media. The material used is statistics for class VIII Junior High School. The type of research used is R&D research and development which refers to the Sugiyono model, there are five stages are used, including: (1) Potential and Problems; (2) Data Collection; (3) Product Design; (4) Design Validation; (5) Design Revision. The instrument used is a validation sheet using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis consisting of 4 validators, namely 2 lecturers of Mathematics Education Study Program at The Islamic University of Riau,and 2 teachers from Junior High School 11 in Pekanbaru.. The validation results obtained by the researchers on the learning media were 89.96% with the resulting criteria being very valid, while the validation results for the guidebook were 89.00% with the validation criteria being very valid. Based on the validation results obtained, the researchers concluded that the Labyrinth Math Story learning media and guidebooks on statistics material for class VIII SMP were feasible to use
