Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11 No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru, for 4 months from January to April 2021. This study aims to determine the effect of interaction and the main effects of various types of bokashi and MOL concentration of rice on the growth and production of white eggplant ( Solanum melongena L.). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was various types of bokashi with 4 treatment levels of 1000 g/plot of bagasse bokashi, 1000 g/plot of ketapang leaf bokashi, and 1000 g/plot of banana stem bokashi. The second factor was the concentration of MOL in rice consisting of 4 treatment levels, 100 ml/l water/plot, 150 ml/l water/plot and 200 ml/l water/plot. Parameters observed were plant height, age of flowering, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit per plot, weight of fruit per fruit and number of remaining fruit from planting. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the level of 5%. The results of the study showed that by interaction, the administration of various types of bokashi and MOL rice had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was given bokashi banana stems 1000 g/plot and MOL concentration of rice 200 ml/l water/plot. The main effect of giving various types of bokashi significantly affected all observation parameters. The best treatment was found in the use of banana stem boksahi at a dose of 1000 g/plot. The main effect of giving MOL rice had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment is 200 ml/l water MOL rice.
