Abstract

ABSTRACT SUPRIADI (164310218) "EFFECTIVENESS OF Immersion in Ethanol Extract of Cherry (Muntingia Calabura) LEAVES FOR THE TREATMENT OF CARP (Cyprinus Carpio) SEEDS THAT ARE INFECTED WITH THE FUNGI OF Saprolegnia sp" under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Jarod Setiaji, S.Pi, M.Sc. This research was carried out for 14 days starting on December 25, 2020 until January 8, 2021 at the Fish Seed Center Laboratory (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau. This study aimed to determine the effect of different soaking times of ethanol extract of cherry (Muntingia calabura) leaves on the survival rate and healing of carp (Cyprinus carpio) fry infected with the fungus Saprolegnia sp. The materials used in this study were 150 carp seeds (10 fish/container) 1 month old with a length of ± 7 cm and an average weight of ± 5 g/head, 96% ethanol solvent, cherry leaf extract, Saprolegnia mushroom. sp from unfertilized catfish eggs and fish feed, namely pellets PF-500. The method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications, namely: P1 (2 hours), P2 (4 hours), P3 (6 hours), P4 (8 hours) and P5 (10 hours). o'clock). The results obtained, the best healing time occurred in the P5 treatment (soaking for 10 hours) with a dose of 100 ppm/liter of water, with a healing time of 7 days. Furthermore, the best survival rate occurred in the P2 treatment (soaking for 4 hours) with a dose of 100 ppm/liter of water, with a survival percentage of 90%. The results of the measurement of water quality parameters in this study were, the temperature ranged from 22-270C, pH 6-8, dissolved oxygen 4.69-4.99 mg/L and ammonia (NH3) ranged from 0.05-0.36 mg/L.
