Abstract

ABSTRACT This research entitled "Analysis of Paddupa Dance (Welcoming Dance) in Sanggar Seni Se rowung Gangsal District Reteh Indragiri Hilir District of Riau Province" is specifically a study conducted to find out How paddupa dance analysis (Welcoming Dance) in Sanggar Seni Sedayung Gangsal District Reteh Indragiri Hilir Riau Province. The purpose of this research is to find out the analysis of Paddupa Dance (Welcoming Dance) in Sanggar Seni Se rowung Gangsal District Reteh Indragiri Hilir District. This theory uses soedarsono theory. Based on soedarsono theory. Based on soedarsono theory, the analysis of paddupa dance is the opening greering, flower picking, rice sowing, and closing greetings. The music used is a type of sacred music and a happy atmosphere. The floor design used is vertical, horizontal, straight lines and circles. The dynamics in this dance are from high level, medium level, and low level. Costume dancers bodo clothes, bun flowers, bando, long necklaces, long bracelets, and earrings. Makeup dancers make up the stage. The stage used is the arena stage. This research uses descriptive research analysis with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research uses data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion / verification. The subjects of this study were 5 people. 1 choreographer, 1 musician, 1 costume and makeup artist, and 2 dancers.
