Abstract

Situational leadership style provides an effort to influence the performance of subordinates through behavioral approaches, communication with the aim of providing motivation to achieve employee performance results. Situational Leadership Style in Technical Implementation Unit III Riau Public Works and Spatial Planning Department aims to provide success in employee performance with the application of situational leadership style will certainly affect the performance of employees starting from obeying work regulations, time discipline, and achieving the performance of each employee.The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Situational Leadership Style on Employee Performance in the Technical Implementation Unit III of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office in Riau Province. The method used is quantitative by using descriptive surveys, namely the type of research that describes the variables studied,This study uses census sampling techniques with a total sample of 95 respondents and as many as 1 informant. Questionnaire data collection techniques, observation, documentation with descriptive data analysis through quantitative approaches. This study concludes that based on the results of statistical tests it can be concluded that the Situational Leadership Style variable has a significant effect on the Performance of Employees in the Technical Implementation Unit III of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office in Riau Province with quite good results because a national leadership style is very much needed so that employees can carry out their performance better and maximum. Sutiational leadership style aims to provide closeness to subordinates and provide motivation for the implementation of employee performance results.
