Abstract

In a company or agency, promotion is something that every employee wants to achieve. Especially in one company, PT. Matahari Arengka Central Department Store (SKA), which measures employee performance in the form of rewards. In addition to awarding rewards, the company also provides opportunities for employees to obtain promotions. In the promotion process, there are several criteria set by the company, namely sales targets, cashier sales, leadership, quality, SPV assessment, loss of goods, caring, and customer service. The value format will be filled manually by the Supervisors and will be given back to the Team Personal Award (PA). The value to be calculated is the median value of each criterion, then reprocessed to get the final value. This assessment is considered to be less efficient and less optimal. Therefore, to help optimize it, the author applies the Technique For Order Preference Method By Similarity To Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) into a system that can facilitate the Team Personal Award (PA) and Supervisor in determining promotion. Assessment is carried out by inputting criteria into the system that was built, then the system will immediately provide results in the form of ranking classes consisting of: promotion, consideration, delay, and not recommended. Based on the conclusions of the implementation of the system, this system is considered to have a good performance where it is obtained from the results of the percentage of questionnaires with the largest average percentage of 59% and a very good assessment of performance obtained at 36%. Then it can be concluded that this system is feasible to implement.
