Abstract

The Quran-based personality is a character which transforms the contents of the Qur'an into oneself, and internalizes the values of the Qur'an in daily life as well as able to maintain the existence of religion, protect soul, mind, and descendant, preserve property and maintain dignity. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of the Quran based personality on students who follow the Islamic mentoring at Islamic university of Riau. The subjects in this study are 160 female students who participated in mentoring who are selected by Snowball sampling technique. The Qurani-based personality is measured by using a scale of Qurani-based personality consisting of 49 items compiled by Alfarina, Nusyirwan, Andani and Anggraini (2019). The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results shows that the Quran-based Personality of the female students majority who participated in mentoring Islam is in the high category with a percentage of 55% with a total of 88 people. Based on the age range, there are significant Quran-based personality differences where the majority of female students aged 20-24 years have a very high category while those aged 18-19 years majority are in the high category. When viewed from the length of time following mentoring there are also significant differences where the students who took mentoring for 3.5-5 and 2.1-3.4 years the majority have the Quran-based personality in very high category meanwhile the high category for mentoring for 0.5-2 years. The aspect of Quran-based personality in a very high category is maintaining dignity and keeps the mind.
