Abstract

The role of the father is the duties and obligations of the father in a family that affects other family members, especially his wife and children. A father as head becomes an authoritative figure and can be an example for his family. in contrast to the mother who is more inclined to the care of the child, while the father is tasked with introducing the outside world or social life. Representation is a social construction that requires one to explore the formation of textual meaning and requires investigation of the ways in which meaning is produced in various contexts. Representations and cultural meanings have a certain materiality. They exist and are attached to inscriptions, objects, sounds, books, magazines and television programs. They are produced, displayed, used, and understood in specific social contexts. Then the researcher tries to represent the role of the father in the film, later we will tell about Hari (NKCTHI) with the aim of knowing the social psychological impact of the child from the role of the father in the film. This study uses a qualitative method which aims to describe what happened in this study. This research is descriptive in nature which only contains situations or events and does not test hypotheses or make predictions. Descriptive method aims to systematically describe the facts or characteristics of a particular population or a particular field in a factual and accurate manner.
