Abstract

research with the title "Effect of Organic and Hormonal NPK on Growth of Basil (Ocimum x citriodorum)". The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interaction and the main influence of organic and hormonal NPK administration on basil plant growth. This research has been carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM. 11 No. 113, Kelurahan Air Dingin, Kecamatan Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 3 months from July to September 2019. This research uses factorial completely randomized design which consists of 2 factors. The first factor is the Organic NPK dose which consists of 4 levels of treatment and Hormone concentration consisting of 4 levels of treatment so that 16 treatment combinations are obtained. Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that a total of 48 experimental units (plots) were taken. Each plot consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants were sampled. The total number of plants is 192 plants. Based on the results of research that has been carried out, it is concluded that the interaction of organic NPK and hormonal NPK significantly influences plant height, age of flowering and number of leaves plucked. With the best treatment NPK Organic 9 g / plant and Hormone 6 ml / l water. The main effect of organic NPK is evident on all observational parameters. The best treatment is Organic NPK 9 g / plant. The main influence of hormones is evident on all parameters of observation. The best treatment is hormones 6 ml / l water.
