Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of cassava organic fertilizer and 16:16:16 dose of NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of shallots. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for three months starting from April to June 2021. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, namely the first factor was the dose of Kasgot Organic Fertilizer (K), consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 500, 1000 and 1500 g per plot. The second factor was NPK 16:16:16 (N), consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 30, 40 and 50 g per plot. So that there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, 48 ​​experimental units were obtained, each experiment (plot) of each plot consisted of 25 plants and 5 plants were used as observation samples with all experimental units consisting of 1200 plants. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed the interaction effect of the application of organic cassava fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer had a significant effect on the parameters of harvest age, wet weight and dry weight. With the best combination treatment of 1.5 kg/plot organic cassava fertilizer and 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer 50 g/plot. The main effect of organic cassava fertilizer was significant on all observation parameters except tuber weight loss parameters, with the best treatment found at 1.5 kg/plot. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant on all observation parameters with the best treatment at 50 g/plot
