Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interaction and main POC of fruits and organic NPK on the growth and yield of garlic (Allium sativum). This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru for 5 months from November 2020 to March 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of POC and organic NPK on the growth and yield of onion plants. White. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of two factors. First, POC Fruits (P) with 4 levels, namely; without treatment, 25, 50 and 75 ml/l water, both organic NPK (N) with 4 levels, namely: without treatment, 0.8, 1.6 and 2.4 g/plant. Observation parameters were: plant height, number of leaves per plant, leaf length, tuber wet weight per plot, tuber diameter, tuber length, tuber dry weight per plot and tuber weight loss. The data were statistically analyzed and further tested for Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of POC in fruits and organic NPK was significant on plant height, leaf length and dry weight. The best treatment was the concentration of POC in fruit 75 ml/l water combined with organic NPK 2.4 g/plant. The main effect of POC treatment of real fruits on plant height, number of leaves planted, leaf length, wet weight, dry weight and tuber diameter. The best treatment for plant height, leaf length, wet weight, dry weight and tuber diameter was 75 ml/l water (P3), and the number of leaves at 50 ml/l water (P2). The main effect of organic NPK fertilizer application was on plant height, wet weight, tuber diameter and tuber dry weight. The best treatment for organic NPK fertilizer was 2.4 g/plant.
