Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of 'The Effect of Different Natural Feeding on Survival and Growth of Juvenile Freshwater Lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus)''. Themethod used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely: (P1) pellets (P1) 100% Artemia, (P3) 100% Daphnia, (P4) 100% Moina and (P5) 100% Tubifex. The test fish used were juvenile freshwater crayfish with an average weight of 39 g and an average length of 3 cm. Juveniles were obtained from spawning at the Fish Seed Center (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. The containers used were 15 jars with a capacity of 20 liters. The results obtained, the highest survival rate in treatment P5 (75.00%) with 100% Tubifex, then followed by absolute weight growth in treatment P5 (16.37 g) with 100% Tubifex, absolute length growth in treatment P5 (16.84 cm ) with 100% Tubifex and the growth rate in treatment P1 (26.00%) with 100% pellets. The water quality parameters in this study were quite good for juvenile testing. The results of water quality measurements in this study were temperature 25-310C, pH 6, and dissolved oxygen 3.5-6.25 ppm.
