Abstract

Leachate formed from a pile of garbage can contaminate groundwater through seepage into the soil surface through rock pores. The research area is located around land fill at Airdingin Village, Bukitraya District, which is in a densely populated area. The research aims to determine the direction of the distribution of leachate and its effect on groundwater quality. The study uses the Electrical Resistivity Tomography method, groundwater flow direction analysis with the three point method, drilling using handauger and groundwater quality analysis using the YSI tool. Resistivity values were correlated with drilling data on GS2 showing a layer of sand and soil containing water with a value of 82.4 Ωm - 471 Ωm, clay deposits 471 Ωm - 2687 Ωm and dry sand deposits 2687 Ωm - 36669 Ωm. Water leachate pollution was detected with a resistivity value of 26.1 Ωm in GS1. The quality of groundwater around the polling station has been polluted shown from the pH value with a range of values 5.87 - 7.76 and temperature parameter s 28.8 o C - 30.2 o C , TDS parameters 35.0 mg / L - 207.9 mg / L, parameters conductivity 0.1439 μS / cm - 344.3 μS / cm. Distribution of l eachate was found to a depth of 0 m - 3 m in the unconsolidated sand layer and held by the clay layer within a 200 m radius of the Airdingin TPS. The distribution of water in the northward direction of the map follows the direction of groundwater flow .
