Abstract

This study is motivated by efforts to develop Islamic education and learning based on information and communication technology (ICT-based) at SMAN 2 Tambang. The teachers and students need to develop the learning process to obtain superior learning. Due to the demands of the times and globalization, the teachers and students need to apply ICT-based learning. This study is very important because it aims to explain what efforts made to develop ICT-based learning on the subject of Islamic education. This study investigates the efforts of teachers in developing Islamic education at SMAN 2 Tambang, as well as the efforts of the teachers to advance the process in learning Islamic education at SMAN 2 Tambang. This study will contribute to increasing the literature and insight of learning development and can be used as a reference for schools to achieve maximum and superior results. The study focuses on the teachers‟ efforts in developing ICT-based Islamic education learning at SMAN 2 Tambang, and the teachers‟ efforts to make Islamic education more effective through ICT-based learning. The object of study is ICT-based learning of Islamic education. The method of the study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The main informant of this study is the teacher of Islamic Education at SMAN 2 Tambang, that is Mrs. Nengsih Haryati S.Th.I, and the supporting informant is Mr. Khoirudin, S.Ag. The data collection techniques used are interview and documentation. The data processing and analysis of the study are conducted by providing raw data in the form of transcripts, field notes, and the researcher's own views, then organizing and preparing data for analysis, tabulating data, coding, composing topics and data descriptions, editing, interpreting and determining sorted topics. The results of this study show that the efforts to develop Islamic education learning are by implementing information and communication technology (ICT), facilitating Islamic education learning by using WhatsApp, telegram, google classroom, websites, search engine (google), youtube, google forms, quizzy and powerpoints, and learning videos.
