Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of social media youtube on students’ religiosity at Islamic education faculty of Islamic University of Riau. The method used correlational quantitative type. The subject in this research was Islamic education students’ year 2018 at Islamic University of Riau, and the object was the influence of social media youtube on students’ religiosity at Islamic education faculty of Islamic University of Riau Pekanbaru. The population took 227 students with 145 students as sample. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Based on data analysis, it was known that there was any influence of social media youtube on students’ religiosity at Islamic education faculty of Islamic University of Riau. It was known by the result of simple linear regression with significant score 0.002, and 0.002 less than 0.05, then, the research hypothesis was accepted. The influence score from family environment in 0.068 or 6.8% and it was in very low category. It was in range 0.00 – 0.199 suitable with correlation coefficient interpretation table, meanwhile others 93.2% was influenced by others factors. Furthermore, the hypothesis was accepted, the correlational level between social media youtube on students’ religiosity at Islamic education faculty of Islamic University of Riau classified on very low category.
