Abstract
Well Y-02 experienced a decrease in the production flow rate where based on the results of the analysis on the well, a problem was found, namely the production zone that has reached its economic limit, so to increase the production flow rate it is necessary to change the production zone in the well. Changing production zones in oil and gas wells can be done by perforating. Perforation is done by making a hole in the casing through the cement so that the fluid from the formation can flow into the well. The perforation carried out on the Y-02 well uses the shaped charges method where in this method the perforation is carried out using high explosive explosives to provide a pressure punch effect so as to create an effective perforation against steel, cement and rock piercing when perforating. Apart from the right method, the selection of perforation density values and phase angle also needs to be analyzed in order to obtain optimal perforation results. This study analyzed the effect of perforation density 3 spf, 4 spf and 6 spf with phase angles of 60°, 120° and 45/135° on the success of the perforation which was indicated by the lowest skin value. The design of the perforations in this study was carried out using the pipesim software. Based on the research that has been done, the lowest skin value is shown by the perforation scheme with a perforation density of 6 spf and a phase angle of 60°. In addition, researchers also conducted a nodal analysis to determine the flowrate of the Y-02 well. The flowrate value obtained after performing the nodal analysis is 593,587 STB/day with a pressure at nodal analysis point of 444.8437 psia.
