Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF CTL (CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING) MODEL ON ISLAMIC EDUCATION STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN BATCH 2017 AT ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU MIZA JONIKA SARI NPM : 172410082 This research was motivated by lack of Islamic education students’ achievement in batch 2017, class A, B, and C, at Islamic Faculty of Islamic University of Riau, it could be seen from lack of physical and mental maturity, lack of skill and knowledge, lack of motivation and interest, then learning achievement is very important to be achieved by students at Islamic Education Faculty, in case that it became a success key in doing learning process in education. CTL model was expected to improve students’ learning achievement in education. Research formulation in this research questioned that was there any influence of CTL Model on Islamic Education Students in batch 2017 at Islamic University of Riau. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of CTL Model (Contextual Teaching and Learning) on Islamic education students’ achievement in batch 2017 at Islamic University of Riau. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. The subject was Islamic Education Students in batch 2017 at Islamic University of Riau which consisted of 144 students from class A in morning, class B in afternoon, and class C in morning. Data analysis method used simple regression analysis where the influence happened in significant score less than 0,05, and there was not any influence when the significant score more than 0.05. this research finding showed that there was any influence about both variables in 0.443 or 44.3%, meanwhile others 55.7% influenced by others factors and it could be interpreted that both variables classified into 0.40 – 0.599. The influence of CTL Model on Islamic Education Students’ achievement in batch 2017 at Islamic University of Riau classified into strong enough.
