Abstract

ABSTRACT The role of Parents in Children’s Religious Education on Puberty Period at Jorong Benai Nagari Muara Tais Mapattunggul District East Pasaman Regency by: FITRA HAYATI NPM: 162410204 Research about the role of parents already done by other research, whereas giving the concept of religious education on puberty period is still not found. The purpose of this research was to find out what are the roles of parents in children’s religious education on puberty period at Jorong Benai Nagari Muara Tais Mapattunggul District East Pasaman Regency. This is quantitative with case study approach. In obtaining data, it used observation, interview and documentation. After obtaining data, it processed and analyzed by reduction, data presentation, conclusion, drawing /verification. The result of this research showed the roles of parents in children’s religious education namely : parents as guidance and directors, parents teach how to speak gently, friendly, and speak well, giving advice, be a good listener, as a supervisor, giving sex education and ask the children to tell the stories. This research recommends the community leaders to take the policy in parents’ roles in religious education at Indonesian community.
