Abstract

This research has a phenomenon that is the lack of rules and programs related to stunting from the Health Office, there is still a lack of socialization carried out related to stunting. This study aims to determine the role of the Kampar District Health Office in Handling Stunting Cases in Toddlers and what are the obstacles to the Kampar District Health Office in Handling Stunting Cases in Toddlers in Pandau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District. Using the theory of the role of the government as a regulator, the government as a dynamist, and the government as a facilitator (according to Rasyid 2000:59). Qualitative research methods, namely research that intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by the research subject, for example behavior, perception, motivation and by way of description in the form of words and language. The results of the study found that the role of the Kampar District Health Office in Handling Stunting Shirts for Toddlers in Pandau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, was in the category of Enough Role. This can be seen from the lack of innovation and programs from the Health Service as evidenced by the number of mothers of children under five who do not want or are reluctant to come to the posyandu to monitor the growth and development of their children. And the obstacles faced by the Kampar District Health Office in the Management of Stunting Cases in Toddlers are still many lay thoughts that make the public indifferent and do not care about the dangers of stunting.
