Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN RELIGIUSITY AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING IN STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY, RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY ULFA NURUL AINI 158110016 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being in students of the Psychology Faculty, Islamic University of Riau. The research method used in this research is correlational quantitative method. The variables contained in this study are religiosity as an independent variable and psychological well-being as the dependent variable. This research was conducted on the students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau with a total sample of 91 students who were taken using simple random sampling technique. The data collection instrument used two Likert model psychological scales, namely the religiosity scale of 47 items and the psychological welfare scale of 20 items. The data were analyzed usingcorrelation Pearson product moment where the results showed a correlation coefficient value of 0.584 with a significance of 0.000 <0.005. From these results it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between religiosity and psychological well-being in students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau. This means that the higher the student's religiosity, the higher the student's psychological well-being, and vice versa, the lower the student's religiosity, the lower the level of psychological well-being of the students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau.
