Abstract

The research aims to determine the effect of interaction and the influence of The main effects of banana stem bokashi and KCl fertilizer on growth and production purple eggplant. This research has been carried out in an experimental garden Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, Km 11. No.13, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. Study lasted for 4 months starting from February to May 2021. This research using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is banana stem bokashi (B) which consists of 4 levels treatments namely, 0, 20, 40 and 60 g/plant. The second factor is KCl (P) fertilizer which consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 10, 15, and 20 g/plant. Parameter observed were plant height, flowering age, number of leaves, number of branches productive, number of fruit planted, length of fruit planted, fresh weight of fruit cropping, plant wet weight and plant dry weight. Observation data statistically analyzed and continued with the BNJ Bada test at 5% level. Research result showed that the interaction effect of giving banana stem bokashi and KCl fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height, flowering age, number of leaves, length of planted fruit, fresh weight of planted fruit, wet weight plant and plant dry weight. The best treatment of banana stem bokashi 60 g/plant and 20 g/plant KCl fertilizer. Main effects of banana stem bokashi significant effect on all observation parameters with the best dose of 60 g/polybag. The main effect of KCl fertilizer has a significant effect on all observation parameters with the best dose of 20 g/polybag. Can be concluded that the application of organic fertilizer bokashi banana stems can improve elements found in the soil and also in the use of KCl fertilizer are as an intake for purple eggplant plants.
