Abstract

ABSTRACT With this research, the writer examines the "Implementation of Supervision of Food Circulating in Consumers by BPOM Pekanbaru City", the reason for the author to research and raise the title of this study is because when the author made field observations first the author found so many food products that were not licensed. distribution, bomb labels and expiry which will be dangerous if consumed by consumers, in this case sometimes the food producers do not think about the side effects that can be caused to consumers who will consume these foods because producers only prioritize results and big profits when selling the food without thinking about it. the safety of consumers who use or eat the product. The problem in this research is how is the implementation of supervision of food circulating to consumers by BPOM Pekanbaru City and what are the inhibiting factors in food product supervision by BPOM Pekanbaru City This thesis research uses observational research methods and the nature of the research used is descriptive because it only sees not analyzes and only finds the problem. The data were obtained using a tool in the form of interviews. The results showed that BPOM's supervision of the distribution of food products in Pekanbaru City did not run optimally because it was caused by a lack of human resources to carry out supervision, the supervision implementation schedule was not in accordance with the provisions and the absence of strict sanctions to sellers who violated the advice of the author to provide full socialization. , coaching, more routine inspections, conducting programs by utilizing internet media such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and adding employees in conducting supervision.
