Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve the passing skills under the volleyball through playing methods for students of class VIII B at SMPN 15 Dumai. This type of research is PTK. The population in this study were students of class VIII B at SMPN 15 Dumai, amounting to 21 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling so that the number of samples in this research were 21 students. The test instrument used was an assessment of the passing rubric of the volleyball rubric. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the classical completeness value of 80% of students who get a KKM value of 70 from student learning outcomes. The results of research and data analysis, this research can be concluded that there is an increase in passing skills under the volleyball through playing methods in grade VIII B students at SMPN 15 Dumai with the percentage of classical completeness in the first cycle of 38.10% and in the second cycle of 90.48% so that there is an increase percentage value of 52.38%
