Abstract

FACTORS OF ONLINE GAMBLING CRIMES PERFORMED BY YOUTH IN KELURAHAN UJUNG BATU, REGENCY ROKAN HULU (Case Study on FF, FR, and IL Perpetrators) The problem in this study is that there are often various crimes that arise as a result of the continuation of someone's defeat playing online gambling. This can lead to an increase in the number of crimes that occur in society. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors causing online gambling crimes committed by teenagers in Ujung Batu Village, Rokan Hulu Regency (Case Study on FF, FR, and IL Actors). The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. Based on the results of research on the Causes of Online Gambling Crimes Perpetrated by Teenagers in Ujung Batu Village, Rokan Hulu Regency (Case Study on FF, FR, and IL Actors), it can be concluded that the factors that cause teenagers to gamble online are due to lack of attention from parents or family and also the amount of shopping money given by parents. Furthermore, the lack of supervision from parents towards adolescents so that the youth are free to associate with any environment. Because there is no social control carried out by the village government and village communities. Not only that, teenagers are influenced by playing online gambling because they think that by playing online gambling with little capital, they will get big profits so that whatever their needs they can fulfill without having to ask their parents. because of the social activities carried out by the Ujung Batu community, there are some groups of people who do online gambling openly so that it affects teenagers to also gamble online, and people think that teenagers who do online gambling are normal. because of the absence of punishments given by the community to online gamblers and weak law enforcement by the police against online gamblers in Ujung Batu Village. Meanwhile, the obstacles in overcoming online gambling crimes committed by teenagers in Ujung Batu Village, Rokan Hulu Regency, namely, 1) Lack of attention from parents or families towards teenagers, 2) Lack of control from the community so that there is a lack of public attention to the environment, 3) Gambling online is something that is considered normal or normal by the people of Ujung Batu Village, and 4) There is no sanction given by the community to online gamblers.
