Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication patterns formed at PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper Unit Folio Sheeter 3 during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive research aims to describe, summarize various conditions, various situations or various phenomena, the social reality of society. The data obtained by the researcher was obtained by conducting interviews with representatives of operators, supervisors, and managers. The results obtained from this study are circular communication patterns. In this pattern, the occurrence of feedback or feedback, namely the flow from the communicant to the communicator, is the main determinant of the success of communication. In a communication pattern like this, the communication process continues, namely there is feedback between the communicator and the communicant. This pattern is better known as a two-way or reciprocal communication pattern (two-way traffic communication), namely the communicator and the communicant become interchangeable functions in communication. The form of communication patterns in Folio Sheeter 3 during the pandemic has been effective, because it is supported by increasingly sophisticated information technology. There are shortcomings in the application of this communication pattern due to age and educationa backgroundl.
