Abstract

One of important points in human resource was giving compensation as employee right and company duty to support the employee to reach the company objectives. Compensation was a services reward that was given by company to employees that was doing their responsibility and their job in form of money, goods, or facilities. The appropriate way in giving compensation to employees could increase their performance and it could give positive impact to company. PT. Rotte ragam Rasa Sembilang Rumbai Branch Pekanbaru gave compensation to employees in form of direct compensation in basic payment, achievement payment and incentive payment and also indirect compensation such as protection program, overtime working payment and facilities. The purpose in this research examined to know and analysis employee‟s compensation in improving employees‟ performance at PT. Rotte Ragam Rasa Sembilang Rumbai Branch Pekanbaru. Research method used descriptive qualitative that was analyse, describe, and summarize several condition and situation from various data that was collected from interview or direct observation happened in the workplace. Data collection that was used by interview through informant. The informant was branch leader, production leader, sales leader, and employees at PT. Rotte Ragam Rasa Sembilang Rumbai Branch Pekanbaru. This research findings showed that given compensation to employees in form of direct compensation nor indirect compensation gave positive impact in improving employees performance at PT. Rotte Ragam Rasa Sembilang Rumbai Branch Pekanbaru, the suggestion to PT. Rotte Ragam Rasa management that was to give attention in direct compensation that was given to employees especially basic salary because it was very influence in improving employees performance.
