Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power and hand eye coordination to the service results of the men's volleyball extracurricular volleyball game at SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu. This type of research is multiple correlation. The population in this study were 15 male students of volleyball extracurricular activities at SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu. The sampling technique is total sampling where the entire population is sampled. The instruments used in this study were an overhead medicine ball throwing test, throwing the ball at the target, and a volleyball service test. The value of rx1y = 0.543, the value of rx2y = 0.577 and the value of rx1x2y = 0.766. The conclusions of this study are: 1) There is a contribution of arm muscle power to the results of service for volleyball with a percentage of 29.5%. 2) There is a contribution of hand eye coordination to the service results for volleyball with a percentage of 33.2%. 3) There is a contribution of arm muscle power and eye-hand coordination to the service results for male volleyball extracurricular boys at SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu with a percentage of 58.7%.
