The cooperation activities intertwined by Department of Informatics and Communication Pelalawan Regency with the parties served (Media or Journalists) is about the taking and broadcasting the news about the activities organized by the local government of Pelalawan Regency. The formulation of the problem in this research; how is the service of media in promoting the activities of Local Government at Communication Section in Department of Informatics and Communication Pelalawan Regency and what are the obstacle factors in media service in promoting the activities of Local Government at Communication Section, Department of Informatics and Communication, Pelalawan Regency. The method in this research used Observational Research with descriptive research characteristic.The instruments for collecting the data consisted of questionnaires, interview, and observation. The results of the research find out that the requirements in media service is the requirement (document or goods/others) which must be fulfilled in working on a kind of service, in this case the technical requirements which were explained earlier categorized into good and the adminsitration requirements determined by Department of Informatics andCommunication Pelalawan Regency are categorized into easy.The procedure is the service etiquette standardized for the service recipient, covering: the service steps categorized into good enough and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) implemented categorized into good category. The service time is the range of time needed to solve overall proces of services from each type of service, covering: The initial completion time categorized into good category, and files management time categorized into bad because the process took a long time. The cost is the fee charged to the service recipient in working on or accepting the service from the organizer with the amount is not determined based on the deal between the organizer and the service recipients, in this case, the cost suitability and the payment realization done categorized into inappropriate. The service product, which is the result of the service given and accepted in accordance with the provisions determined beforehand, covering: the type of service product by the media categorized into suitable and the result of the news displayed also categorized into suitable.
