Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dance aesthetics of the Liuk Tamburin Pekan dance in BI Production Studio, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the Aesthetics of the Liuk Tamburin Pekan dance in the BI Production studio Pekanbaru City Riau Province This study uses qualitative methods and the research subjects numbered 4 people as speakers. Data collection techniques used are, observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. This study used the Djelantik’s theory (1999) which state that something which have aesthetic must have the unsures include: form, weight, and appearance. Based on the research of Aesthetic of Liuk Tamburin Pekan Dance in BI Production Studio Pekanbaru City, Riau Province, can be seen from the element of beauty, that is, the form or form can be seen from the varied forms of dance movements, weights or contents between the movements that have different weights or contents, appearance can be seen from the dancers who skillfully danced the Liuk Tamburin Pekan dance.
