Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Aesthetic Values of Traditional Mamak Clothing of the Aju-Aju Tribe in Kecepatan District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The formulation of the problem in this study is: How is the Aesthetic Value of Traditional Mamak Clothing of the Aju-Aju Tribe in Kecepatan District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province? The theory used to analyze the value is: Dharsono Sony Kartika theory (2007:89) which says that Basically it is a certain number of basic qualities contained in something. This study uses a qualitative method that uses data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The conclusion of the research shows that the Traditional Mamak Clothing of the Aju-Aju Tribe in Kecepatan District, Rokan Hulu Regency is a dress that is still maintained until now which is intended only for the Indigenous Mamak of the Aju-Aju Tribe. Clothing that has different characteristics from other tribes in Kecepatan District, which is yellow, consists of a cap (Kopiah), body clothing, foot clothing, side cloth (sampiang cloth). Which includes: Unity, Harmony, Equilibrium, Balance, and Resistance. Has a beautiful beauty to the eye.
