Abstract

This study aims to determine the creativity of art in children with cancer in the process of drawing at the Kasih Anak Cancer Foundation, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the creativity of cancer children's art in the drawing process at YKAKI Pekanbaru, Riau Province. This study used qualitative methods and the research subjects found 12 people and 5 sources. Data collection techniques used are: observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The theory used is the theory of Utami Munandar (2004:443) there are 5 indicators that determine that students are said to be creative, namely: a) Fluency (fluency), b) Authenticity (authenticity), c) Elaboration (details). From the results of this study, the researchers found that the creativity of the Indonesian Cancer Children Foundation's Kasih Anak Cancer Foundation in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province, in the "Drawing Literacy" lesson went well because students were able to go through aspects of creativity. From the results of research that has been carried out by researchers at the Yayasan Kasih Anak Cancer Indonesia, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province, which is seen from the results of the practice, it is quite good because not all students can meet the aspects that exist in the creativity of the author applied as an indicator that is said to be creative, however the author can understand this situation because of many factors, one of which is because the physical condition of the child is not good enough to carry out the learning process.
